The purpose of this guideline is to provide a flexible framework that enables schools in the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle (the Diocese) to manage student mobile phone and wearable technologies use.

This guideline articulates responsibilities for school workers, students and parents to ensure that mobile phones and wearable technologies are used appropriately and safely at school.
