Travel and Accommodation PolicyThis policy and the related procedure set out the obligations and responsibilities of workers of the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle (the Diocese) who are required to travel for work purposes.
The Diocese recognises that travel for business purposes is an important part in fulfilling our vision of many parts, one body, one mission.

Note: This is a private policy document for internal use within the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle only.
Travel and Accommodation ProcedureThe purpose of this procedure is to expand on the Travel & Accommodation Policy (the Policy) and to set out the processes to follow when workers of the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle (the Diocese) are required to travel for work purposes.

The purpose of this procedure is to ensure that:

Effective, efficient and consistent travel management is complied with across the Diocese. 

Workers have a clear understanding of the requirements of this procedure in relation to travel protocols and administration.  

All bookings are made through the contracted preferred supplier, ensuring discounted rates are accessed wherever possible. 

Workers are provided with the best available service at the lowest possible cost.
