This policy sets out the principles that the Dioceses will apply to attract a talented, capable workforce who strive to achieve the Diocese’s mission and uphold our Diocesan values, now and into the future.
Transition to retirement aims to engage experienced employees for longer and assist knowledge and expertise to be transferred to support the Diocese workforce.
This procedure outlines the requirements for relevant stakeholders when transition to retirement is requested, approved and declined.
The Diocese recognises that travel for business purposes is an important part in fulfilling our vision of many parts, one body, one mission.

The purpose of this procedure is to ensure that:
Effective, efficient and consistent travel management is complied with across the Diocese.
Workers have a clear understanding of the requirements of this procedure in relation to travel protocols and administration.
All bookings are made through the contracted preferred supplier, ensuring discounted rates are accessed wherever possible.
Workers are provided with the best available service at the lowest possible cost.
